Tim's Priorities for Office

During his first time on the city council, Tim focused on learning and listening. Tim learned about the process and role, advocated for the topics he believed important, and took guidance from community members and fellow council members. Now, Tim wants to roll his sleeves up and dig deeper. Below are some of the larger visions or targets Tim has in mind.

Community and Arts Alley
Winterville United Methodist Church
Doctor's Museum
WW Square
LoveHawk Mural
Winterville Library
Marigold Market
Winterville Depot

Tim's Top 3 Priorities

1

Continuing Amenity Development

Tim wants to continue developing part of what makes life in Winterville so desirable - the community events and experiences! Not only do such events improve the city's financial position, but new residents consistently cite the music, festivals, and social events as reasons to move and live here.

2

Increasing Communication with the City

Tim has believed since day 1 that Winterville needs to improve its communication with members. Often, people don't find out about something until the night of the event, or there are conflicting reports. If elected, Tim would make it a priority to develop new solutions to Winterville's communication problem.

3

Enhancing  Financial Security

While on the city council, Tim was on the finance committee. Here he learned about another under-reported badge for the city, our financial strength. Audits of the city budget by independent review consistently find Winterville to be financially secure. Continuing this and working to further enhance our financial security will help Winterville weather any storms that growing cities inevitably face.
